The economic climate called for an understated look, but the financial solidity of the credit union movement called for a classy design. Ivory linen cover stock, foil-stamped in metallic gold, featured a die-cut window to a photo of the American flag. Other special effects throughout included polaroid transfers to watercolor paper, ivory-tinted varnish, and hand-tinting of photos.
